First time designs!!!
For the entire term in Digital Fabrication, we have gone through a lot of seemingly difficult material. Digital fabrication is the practice of creating things using technology, 3D printing, wood carving, etc. In this class, we went through many programs like TinkerCad, Easel, Vector, to create different designs and structures. The past few weeks, however, have been spent bringing our final creations to life. For my design, I chose to use Inventables' Easel program, to design a logo for another class, as well as a cool design that takes the initials of two names. it took around 4 days to complete both designs, not including the time it took to print and carve. Before my final designs, I tried out the 3D printer, by downloading a model of the Thousand Sunny Go, from One Piece, and printing it out. After the print was done, I realized that for the final, I wanted to use the Carvey machine, a tool that carves designs into various materials. This class was really awesome because it introduced me to so many things that I once wanted to explore. Here are my final designs. Enjoy!
