Its all in the truss...


No one ever thinks about the intricacies of everyday items and practices. elevators, computers, and the internet are all things that are amazing everyday products that nobody stops to think about the details of. How do they work? What goes into producing these functional products and why is it made that way? These are all questions that we were asking ourselves about one of the most used methods of passage in any city; the bridge. Bridges have been used throughout civilization for hundreds of years and I'm willing to bet that this is the first time that you've listened to someone talk about them. For this AP we were supposed to build our own bridge and challenge it to hold a gallon of water for 20 seconds. This is how mine turned out...
